21.06.2023  From the 12th to 15^th of June 2023, the Institute of Public Health FHS JU MC hosted the research and teaching staff from our partner Ukrainian and Polish universities – the Danylo Halytskiy Medical University (Medical Law Department) in Lviv; the National University of Ostroh Academy in Ostroh; and the Medical University of Gdansk (Department of Public Health and Social Medicine). Within a few intensive days, there were many discussions about the current and planned cooperation. The Guests from Ukraine also visited the University Hospital and the Voivodship Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Krakow. On June 13th, everybody took part in an international hybrid seminar, conducted in-person and online, titled “Academic collaboration with Ukraine despite the war”. The group of speakers present on-site at the seminar was joined by the academicians from the French School of Public Health EHESP in Rennes, France, as well as the School of Public Health Management in Chisinau, Moldova. The organization of the seminar and visits was possible thanks to the cooperation agreements concluded by the Jagiellonian University Medical College with partner universities in France, Moldova, Ukraine, and Gdansk, including the grant received in 2022 from EHESP in Rennes to support the academic cooperation with Ukraine.
