On May 25, 2023, a delegation of four African universities visited the Institute of Public Health FHS, as part of a series of meetings in the selected units of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. The Guests were from the following academic centers:

• Ahfad University for Women, School of Medicine, Khartoum, Sudan;
• Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania;
• Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Science, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
• University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Kigali, Rwanda

The guests were participants of the 1st Polish African Scientific Forum organized at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, based i.a. on the previously conducted cooperation coordinated by Dr. habil. Bartłomiej Guzik. During the meeting, the current activities of the Institute were discussed, in particular regarding the development of cooperation with African universities, which may provide a basis for a very valuable extension of the scientific and didactic activities’ spectrum.
