On November 24-25, 2022, Warsaw hosted the XX. Jubilee International Conference of the Polish Pharmacoeconomic Society, entitled “Pharmacoeconomics in various therapeutic areas. Trends and priorities… and the Oscars go to”. It was attended by a total of more than 500 participants, either onsite or remotely. Dr habil. Pawel Kawalec was co-moderator of the session “Top Gun, fast and high-flying – session of original papers,” while Dr Tomasz Bochenek was a panelist in the session “This is not a country for “old” people – session of public health.” For their long-standing contributions to the Polish Pharmacoeconomic Society, both were awarded beautiful statuettes, humorously named Icers (after the pharmacoeconomic index ICER – Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio).
