The Department conducts research in Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) area – how early life environment impacts later life health and reproduction in women and men. In the analyses we include innovative, anthropological markers (stable across the lifespan) which reflects the developmental conditions: 2D:4D digit ratio, dermatoglyphic patterns and level of facial fluctuating asymmetry.
