This Is Public Health – Global

12-th of May 2021.

In 2019-2020, the Institute of Public Health (IPH) of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Jagiellonian University Medical College, together with five other European universities, participated in the “This Is Public Health – Europe” (TIPH Europe) campaign with the project titled „Public Health is the future!”. The TIPH Europe campaign was aimed at increasing the public health awareness. It was funded by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), based in Washington, DC, and organized in cooperation with ASPPH partner organization – the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER).

Following the fruitful results of TIPH Europe, the new awareness raising campaign was proclaimed by the ASPPH, i.e. This Is Public Health – Global (TIPH Global). Building on the successful participation in TIPH Europe campaign, the IPH submitted the proposal for the project to be carried out under the TIPH Global campaign. The project proposal was prepared by Dr. Tomasz Bochenek and Dr. Ilona Nenko. The proposal was successful, and it was selected for the TIPH Global Grant Program together with 19 other projects from around the world. Thus, we are happy to announce the start of our TIPH Global project titled ” Public Health now – building on rich tradition and successes let’s respond to the challenges of the future!”. The main project objectives are to promote social awareness about public health and present career opportunities for public health graduates.
