29.05.2023 The humanitarian support action for the city of Ostroh in Ukraine, where the National University of Ostroh Academy is located, has ended. This Ukrainian university cooperates with the Institute of Public Health of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. A total of 17 parcels and packages with long-lasting food, hygiene products, mattresses, pillows, bedding, and other items necessary for survival, collected by the academic community at the collection points at the Institute and the Faculty, were delivered to Sandomierz, a partner city for Ostroh. Dr. Tomasz Bochenek handed them over to Mr. Paweł Wierzbicki, Director of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, from where they were collected by representatives of the administration of the city of Ostroh on their visit to Sandomierz on the 29-th of May 2023.
