The goal of this initiative is to provide the professional knowledge on activities undertaken in European health systems in order to fight against Covid 19, using a dedicated website. The leaders of the Polish team are Prof. Iwona Kowalska-Bobko and Prof. Christoph Sowada.

The team of experts has prepared an extensive material, based on the WHO guidelines, which is updated once a week. It describes the reaction of public authorities in Poland to the coronavirus pandemic. It can be used, among others, as a source of knowledge about the tests performed, rules of organization and availability of services in infectious diseases hospitals, financing of services, provision of personal protection materials and generally – the current reactions of authorities to the pandemic crisis.

The Health System Response Monitor website is a joint enterprise of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the European Commission and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. The link to this material: https://www.covid19healthsystem.org/countries/poland/countrypage.aspx.
