Shanghai Ranking GRAS 2021 – Public Health as a scientific discipline ranked the highest among all disciplines included from the Jagiellonian University!

27-th of August 2021   In the latest ranking of the best universities in the world (Academic Ranking of World Universities – ARWU), the Jagiellonian University maintained its last year’s position within the fifth hundred. In the academic subjects’ ranking (Shanghai’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects – GRAS), which is being also maintained by the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, for a total number of 54 academic subjects, the Jagiellonian University was included in 12 of them. Out of these 12 subjects, as many as four are being the specialties of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. The academic subject of Public Health has been ranked the highest within its category – this year it advanced to the first half of the second hundred (rank range of 101-150)! Other academic subjects from the Jagiellonian University Medical College, which have been included into GRAS, in their respective third hundreds, within their separate categories (rank ranges of 201-300), are: Clinical Medicine, Dentistry and Oral Sciences, as well as Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

 

Other academic subjects from the Jagiellonian University, which have been included into the GRAS 2001, include: Mathematics – the second hundred (151-200); Physics, Ecology and Psychology – the fourth hundred (301-400); Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, as well as Human Biological Sciences – the fifth hundreds within their separate categories (positions 401-500).
