11-th of July 2019. Every year at the beginning of July, for twelve years now, the last module of the two-year EUROPUBHEALTH, European Master in Public Health studies, is held at the leading EHESP French School of Public Health in Rennes. The co-founder of and partner within this program of studies is the Institute of Public Health (IPH) of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, which educates English-speaking students on a specialization pathway which is currently called Governance of Health System in Transition. Three of Krakow’s students – Amanda Srsic (USA), Sameh Al-Awlaqui (Yemen) and Tara Chen (Canada) – have won a pool of three consecutive awards (first, second and third) in the Poster Competition this year, competing with several dozen other international students from the entire consortium of universities. The scientific posters of our students were based on their MPH theses defended three weeks earlier in Krakow. The promoters of theses of our students were, respectively, Dr. Katarzyna Dubas-Jakóbczyk, Dr. Marzena Tambor and Dr. habil. Mariusz Duplaga, Prof. JU. The module in Rennes was ended with the graduation ceremony. Diplomas were awarded to our students by the Director of the IPH, Dr. habil. Christoph Sowada, Prof. JU. One of the invited speakers was Dr. Andrzej Ryś, who was in the 90-s the Director of the School of Public Health (the predecessor of the IPH) and currently is the Director for Health Systems, Medical Products and Innovation at the European Commission. Congratulations to our students!

The flash mob was also organized during the module as part of This Is Public Health international campaign, promoting public health and career opportunities in public health.
