18-th of October 2018
As part of Malopolska Researchers’ Night 2018 our two Departments (Environmental Health and Human Nutrition) have organised several activities for the night-visitors to our Institute, including youths and families with children. These were: a lecture “The traps of human body composition analysis” accompanied by the possibility of nutritional status assessment based on the results of measurements and anthropometric indicators. Additionally, we have presented AFAST application (co-created by our Institute) – a free tool supporting the rehabilitation of aphasia. Our visitors had also an opportunity to measure their markers of fetal programming, which are reflecting the quality of early life development, during “What is fetal programming?” workshops.
We would like to thank all members of our Institute involved in preparation of this event: Professor Małgorzata Schlegel-Zawadzka; Ewa Błaszczyk-Bębenek, PhD; Andrzej Galbarczyk, PhD; Magdalena Klimek, PhD; Beata Piórecka, PhD and Jaśmina Żwirska, PhD. We would also thank our students who devoted their time to help organize this event: Julia Frankowska, Kamila Parzonka, Sylwia Gawor and Agnieszka Matras.
See you next year!
