12-th of June 2018.
The members of the Student Scientific Association (SSA) of the Department of Human Nutrition of the Institute of Public Health UJ CM, supervised by dr Ewa Błaszczyk-Bębenek and Prof. Małgorzata Schlegel-Zawadzka, together with the Primary School No. 29 in Krakow, participated in the event “100 Ways to Play”. It was part of celebrations of the fourth birthday of the Tauron Arena Krakow, celebrated on 10.06.2018 and associated with the International Children’s Day, organized by Radwansport association. There were a lot of fun, playing sports and many educational activities. Among the entertainment, the stand of the SSA was attracting attention of many visitors. While playing educational games with youngest children, the students were explaining the rules of appropriate nutrition. There was also an opportunity to check own body mass with a body composition analyzer and to measure own height with a portable ultrasonic growth meter. All results of the anthropometric measurements were explained and discussed by the students. All visitors received small gadgets as souvenirs (a key leash or a pen), reminding of the Institute of Public Health. We are very happy that the citizens of Krakow could benefit from the offer prepared by the SSA and while having fun, they have not forgotten about taking care of their own health.
